Earlier this year, we reported on Nukeproof’s new, very affordable Tracker hardtail lineup. Today, Nukeproof and parent company Belgian Cycling Factory (BCF) are expanding the Tracker range with the launch of the all-new Tracker FS enduro mountain bike. Based on the 3x EWS Championship-winning Nukeproof Mega, the Tracker FS was created to deliver similar performance at a much more accessible price point.

The new Tracker FS shares the Mega’s geometry, travel, and kinematics and comes with a thoughtfully chosen component spec that keeps the complete bike price down to just £1,999 / €2,499. That aggressive pricing makes it among the best value enduro bikes around, a deal made even sweeter when you consider BCF/Nukeproof’s new transferable lifetime warranty policy

“Tracker FS is our answer to one of the biggest issues in the industry right now. Brands have become too focused on high-end bike exotica, which can feel tone-deaf when riders and dealers are asking for great bikes at fair prices. This is a perfect example of bringing our legendary, award-winning performance to riders in an incredible value package. We have plenty of exciting high-end bikes in development, and we believe you’ll see exceptional value in those, too. We’ve kept the heart and soul of Nukeproof in our product plans while adding the skills and experience of the new team to bring awesome new bikes like the Tracker FS to market.”

-Russell Merry, Managing Director at Nukeproof

Nukeproof Tracker FS Details

non-drive-side profile of the Nukeproof Tracker FS

The Tracker FS frame is made from aluminum, and Nukeproof says it shares the same geometry, travel, and suspension kinematic as the renowned Mega 297 enduro bike. Compared to the Mega Alloy, the brand says it simplified elements of the Tracker’s frame design to keep the price down. This includes external cable routing, a less complex top tube shape, a non-butted downtube, modified dropouts and yokes, and more.

Still, it retains a similar look and, according to Nukeproof, the same performance as the Mega. It has 165mm of rear wheel travel, comes with a 170mm fork, and it rolls on mixed wheel sizes. The frame has standard Boost 12 x 148mm rear axle spacing, a threaded bottom bracket, a bottle mount on the downtube, and an accessory/tool mount on the underside of the top tube. The frame comes with custom rubber downtube, chainstay, and seat stay protectors.

In addition to its low price, Nukeproof says the Tracker FS also undercuts many competing enduro bikes in terms of weight. The claimed complete bike weight is 17.2kg (37.9 lbs.) including tubes, but without pedals.

Geometry

As mentioned, the Tracker FS shares most of its geometry with the Mega enduro bike, meaning it’s been designed to ride fast down aggressive terrain. It’s a proven formula that still appears to be pretty spot-on by today’s standards for the enduro category, despite the Mega not being updated in several years. Key angles include the 64° head tube angle and 77.5° – 78° seat tube angle. It comes in five frame sizes, S-XXL, with reach growing from 430mm (S) to 515 mm (XXL), and chainstay length at 435mm across all sizes. Check out the chart below for the rest of the details.

Build

According to Nukeproof, component specification was a major focus with the Tracker FS. Keeping the price accessible while prioritizing component performance and durability is a tough balance to strike. To that end, Nukeproof says, “Working closely with suppliers, the team prioritized performance-critical areas such as suspension, brakes, and tires over components that riders commonly personalize later, such as handlebars.”
