Here’s the full list of Premier League international broadcasters.

Preview for Newcastle v Everton

Newcastle United will look to get revenge on Everton for their defeat in the EFL Cup on Thursday when they meet again in the Premier League.

The Magpies saw their hopes of another deep run in a competition they won in 2025 ended as they were beaten 3-1 at Everton in the last 16, the Toffees booking a quarter-final tie with League Two Fleetwood Town.

Just four days on they meet again, with Newcastle a point above Everton in the league after beating Crystal Palace 2-0 away from home last week.

Newcastle’s previous home game saw them deliver a meek attacking performance in a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, and they will hope to produce much better in front of their fans at St James’ Park this time around.

Matthias Jaissle’s men have endured two Monday night games to forget already this season, losing 4-1 away at Leeds United and Coventry City.

The Coventry game and the cup loss at Everton followed markedly similar patterns, with Newcastle having the lion’s share of possession and shots but being comfortably beaten by a team that was more ruthless in taking chances.

Indeed, Newcastle had 26 shots to Everton’s 11 on Thursday. David Moyes’ men scored three goals from five efforts on target, while Newcastle had to settle for a Dan Burn consolation from 11 efforts on target.

Those numbers spoke to Everton’s defensive organisation and the problems Newcastle have with teams being able to play through them with relative ease and hit them effectively on the counter.

Away from home, Everton will likely be more than happy to play on the break as they aim to avoid a third straight league defeat, knowing a win would take them above Newcastle and a host of other teams and into the top seven.

The challenge for Jaissle and Newcastle is to find a way to avoid succumbing to the same fate they suffered in the cup. There will be more scrutiny on the German if his side fails in that task.

Team News for Newcastle v Everton

Tino Livramento remains unavailable for Newcastle, while it remains to be seen if either Lewis Miley (knock) or Matias Fernandez-Pardo (illness) will be available to make their returns.

Forward Will Osula twisted his ankle in the loss on Merseyside and the Dane is a question-mark for this game.

Everton’s Jack Grealish was left out of the squad for the cup tie after a breach of club discipline. It is not known if he will be available for selection.

However, it is hoped defender Jarrad Branthwaite will be able to return from a concussion.

Prediction for Newcastle v Everton

An early goal may be key for Newcastle in their bid to avoid a repeat of the cup tie and being caught on the counter by Everton. After two previous Monday night horror shows, a point would represent a decent result.
