New York City is trying to win back Canadian tourism after it took a hit with the current trade war between the U.S. and Canada. Tourism officials have unveiled “NYC’s Northern Neighbour Deal,” offering Canadians 30 per cent off on a range of hotels and sites starting next month. Before the pandemic, it’s estimated that one million Canadians visited the city annually. This year, that number is expected to reach only 820,000. Global’s Touria Izri reports.
