The Melbourne Storm have been on top since scoring the opening try.

The Storm got over the goal-line with Joe Chan darting from dummy half, but Chan was held up.

In fact, it is a penalty to the Bulldogs as Chan was charged with using teammate Cooper Clarke, who played the ball, as a blocker to get into the in-goal.

After scoring the opening try of the match, Melbourne Storm winger Moses Leo is off for a HIA.

A minute earlier, Leo was hit with a high shot from Bulldogs' prop Max King.

King was put on report for the hit.

The ball is knocked back, and the Dragons argue it came off a Dolphin hand.

The ref says it has come off a Dragon, and it is still last tackle.

The Dragons are challenging because they believe the tackle count should have been restarted.

But the Bunker has found a Dragon offside from the original kick, which means the Dolphins will get a penalty.

Prop Tom Flegler charged over the line and JUST got the point of the ball on the goal-line.

Dragons fans are blowing up, because 45 seconds earlier their side was streaking down the left wing. Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa knocked a pass down, and it was ruled backwards by the referee.

ABC Sport's Luke Lewis and John Gibbs believe it was a knock-on and the Dragons should have been awarded a scrum in Dolphin territory.

For what it's worth, I think it was a great decision from the referee Kieren Irons.

The Dragons have shown they can score from long range.

A lovely cut-out pass from five-eighth Lyhkan King-Togia put left winger Tyrell Sloan in space.

Sloan streaked 25 metres down the wing, then two passes back inside allowed Clint Gutherson to finish off the try.

Valentine Holmes converts the try, and the Dragons are back within striking distance.

After being denied twice by the desperate Dragons defence in the previous five minutes, the Dolphins finally have their fourth try.

A lovely shift to the left from the Dolphins leads to Selwyn Cobbo scoring a second try.

The Dolphins were attacking the goal-line, but Dragons centre Valentine Holmes intercepted and ran the opposite direction.

Holmes was being chased down near halfway, and sees his right winger, Setu Tu, unmarked but about 30 metres away.

Holmes tries to throw a long, long pass to Tu, but is goes a long way forward.
