19' Luke Lewis called it
Credit to ABC Sport expert Luke Lewis, he spied the horrible body language in the opening moments.
"I've never seen anyone look so flat, ever," he says as they fall behind 14-0.
They're frankly lucky Adam Pompey has only slotted 1/3.

Ali Leiataua is over
The Warriors put it through the hands to the right and the right centre is over just as easy as you like. This is just abysmal by the Tigers.
"They are off. Something is amiss here," ABC Sport sideline eye John Gibbs says of the Tigers.

16' This is officially pathetic from the Tigers
The Warriors spin it off the kick-off and Alofiana Khan Pereira flies up over halfway.
Literally the only thing that stops him is Taine Tuaupiki over-running him and causing him to fall to ground lest he be called for an obstruction.
Some of these tackling efforts are embarrassing from the Tigers.

The Warriors are in again
A simple left-side shift and Alofiana Khan-Pereira has oodles of space to pause, skip and dive in out wide for yet another NRL try.
The Warriors were making it look easy when it was 13 vs 13. Against 12 for the next eight minutes this could get real ugly.

12' Bunty Afoa is in sin-bin
Jahream Bula chases a high bomb but knocks on into the hands of the Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, who spins it out to the left.
Bunty Afoa flies through and hammers his former teammate incredibly late, genuinely a full second at least and Nicoll-Klokstad is in real trouble.
Wyatt Raymond lets the play go on and then calls it back, before sending Afoa rightly to the sin-bin.
"He has ample opportunity to pull out of that clash, he carries through with force, there's significant whiplash and his head hits the ground," Raymond says.
I don't think anyone can disagree. That was really ugly.

11' Another missed chance by the Warriors
Leka Halasima storms onto a cut-out pass and flies 50 metres to the Tigers' 20m line.
The Warriors are surging but again they knock on right on the tryline, this time Tanner Stowers-Smith drops it in a beautiful shot from Sione Fainu.

6' Warriors making easy metres
James Fisher-Harris pokes his nose through in the middle but just can't find the offload.
The Warriors immediately spin it right and they break through via Ali Leiataua. Jarome Luai goes for a hair-pull as he chases, but let's go immediately to his credit.
They force a dropout but Te Maire Martin knocks on in the ensuing set.
Still, this is a rank start for the Tigers, who look really out of sorts.

James Fisher-Harris storms in and lets Jarome Luai know about it
A lovely bit of interplay between big men as Erin Clark drifts across and hits James Fisher-Harris with a short ball 10 metres out.
He pushes in between Jarome Luai and Terrell May, and their desperate attempts barely slow him down.
As JFH gets up he shouts down at former Penrith teammate Luai. May is also a Penrith boy, so I'm sure a bit was directed at him too.
"Look at their [the Tigers'] body language. They already look deflated and we're only four minutes in," Luke Lewis says on ABC Sport.

3' Massive error by the Tigers
They get the first penalty of the game as Sunia Turuva intercepts a Warriors pass on the last, but Adam Doueihi fails to find touch (it wasn't even close) and the Warriors fly back through Taine Tuaupiki.

And it's former Warrior Bunty Afoa taking the first big charge back.

Here come the teams
James Fisher-Harris leads his Warriors out onto Campbelltown and they are looking very relaxed, I must say.
The Tigers emerge from the sheds, all eyes on Jarome Luai. He usually bounces back after copping heat, so expect more of the same tonight.

How big will this guy's return be for the Warriors?

The Warriors have one of the best forward packs in the NRL without him, but James Fisher-Harris coming back is only ever going to make things better.
You know, unless you're a Tiger.
Watch for a big battle with Terrell May tonight.

Broncos sneak past Sharks to stay perfect in NRLW
(Getty)When the scorers' sheet shows a hat-trick to Tamika Upton, another try for Julia Robinson and three goals for Jesse Southwell, it's probably no surprise that the Broncos are 2-0 to start the NRLW season.
But they were pushed to the brink by the Sharks in Cronulla last night, just barely coming away with a 22-16 victory against another of the teams hoping to challenge the Roosters-Broncos dominance in 2026.
Brisbane's completion rate of 75 per cent was nowhere near good enough as they find their rhythm with this new spine of theirs, but the strikepower is simply undeniable.

Luai leaving Leichhardt?
(Getty)Jarome Luai is never far from the headlines and this week he was part of some big ones, with reports emerging that the high-profile Tigers half had been granted permission to leave the club early.
Luai had already signed for the PNG Chiefs from 2028, but the Tigers have apparently said he's welcome to go elsewhere in 2027 if he can find someone keen to sign him for just one season.
Between his reaction to the Lachlan Galvin saga last year and up-and-down form since he arrived for the 2025 season, fair to say it's been a slightly awkward marriage between Luai and the Tigers.
They started well this season, but have since faded and won just two games since round eight, looking set to miss the finals yet again as they sit in 12th.
"I don't think achieved what they wanted to achieve with him here," Luke Lewis says on ABC Sport.

LATE MAIL: No Origin stars backing up
Kurt Capewell and Mitch Barnett won't back up from Wednesday night's decider for the Warriors, but that's offset by the return of James Fisher-Harris and Leka Halasima.
Both teams are 1-18, including the Tigers welcoming back Jarome Luai to captain the side after missing last week with concussion symptoms, but the final spot on the bench is where there's an interesting twist.
(Supplied: NRL.com)Luke Laulilii, destined for the Perth Bears next year, is so freshly across from the Tigers to the Warriors that his NRL.com profile photo still has him in the orange, white and black.

Welcome to Friday night footy
State of Origin is done and dusted for another year, and that means it's all systems go for the run home for all the clubs in the regular season.
We kick off the final push tonight with a well scheduled match featuring two teams relatively unaffected by Origin, with the battling Tigers up against the Warriors in Campbelltown.
