An aerospace common facility centre will be established in the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru with a total project cost of ₹30 crore. In the 2026–27 Budget, it was announced that an amount of ₹10 crore has been allocated in the current financial year for this purpose. To promote the growth of aerospace industries in Mysuru, an aerospace park will also be developed adjacent to the Mysuru airport by KIADB.

A flight training school and the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft units, under a PPP model, will also be established at the premises of Vijaypura and Shivamogga airports, respectively.

Mr. Siddaramaiah also announced that ₹200 crore has been earmarked in the current year for the development of seven domestic airports in the State.

He said ₹1,593 crore in grants for the development of the seven airports has been disbursed so far. He also said that the second airport for Bengaluru will be developed, for which a feasibility report will be prepared after obtaining technical advice from the Airports Authority of India (AAI).  “To decongest Kempegowda International Airport, which has emerged as the country’s third largest airport, a second airport will be developed in Bengaluru for which a feasibility report will be prepared after obtaining technical advice from the AAI,” the Chief Minister said.
