ITV has added a powerful crime documentary that has been dubbed a must watch for fans of true crime.
Faked: Hunting My Online Predator was released to ITV on Sunday evening as it told the harrowing story of three women who had their lives turned upside down.
The chilling true crime documentary explores the moment the women discovered their images were being used without their consent on pornography and escort sites.
It has also been added to ITVX for those who missed it over the weekend as true crime viewers say they need to add it to their watch list.
An ITV synopsis reveals: "A powerful documentary following a five-year hunt for answers and justice by three women who were portrayed as offering sexual services in deepfake profiles online."
Taking to social media, one person said it was "really scary" as another said they "couldn't wait to watch it".
On TikTok, one true crime fan informed users of the brand new release as they said: "ITVX are really giving us what we want lately."
They continued it was an "absolutely horrific story", adding: "This documentary follows the five year investigation that it took for him to be apprehended but as you can imagine in the meantime this had a horrific toll on these women's lives."
The true crime enthusiast said it was an "interesting watch" and a "powerful documentary".
Appearing on last Friday's episode (March 6) of Good Morning Britain, Kirsty Pellant and Donna King spoke about how they came together to track down the person who was behind taking their images.
Kirsty, who had been working at a primary school at the time, said she first discovered her images were being used on the explicit sites when a man came to her house.
She later described one "gut wrenching" moment that happened in her school. She said: "One of the children said to me, 'Well, what about the photographs that you've put online?
"In that moment, everything stopped, and you feel that gut-wrenching moment. I did answer it in a professional way and had to explain that I hadn't done any of this but they had said they had seen it on their parents' phone."
Faked: Hunting My Online Predator has been dubbed the perfect watch for fans of true crime, especially those who enjoyed BBC's Lover, Liar, Predator as one viewer said it was an "important" watch.
Faked: Hunting My Online Predator is available to watch on ITVX. For the latest showbiz, TV, movie and streaming news, go to the new **Everything Gossip** website.
