At least 10 people, including children, were killed and more than 140 were wounded in overnight missile salvoes from Iran that hit various locations in Israel, authorities said. The impact in the city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, destroyed multi-storey apartment buildings, leaving hundreds of families displaced. Rescue teams continued the search through the debris in the hopes of locating the remaining survivors. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran would pay a "heavy price" for civilian deaths. Four people were also killed in northern Israel overnight when an Iranian missile struck their home in the town of Tamra.
