Crowds have gathered in Iran to pledge their support to the new Supreme Leader as the Middle East continues to grapple with the chaos unleashed by joint US-Israeli air strikes.
Iranians loyal to the tyrannical regime chanted "death to America, death to Israel" as they gathered in Tehran's Enghelab Square earlier today. They were joined by high numbers of security personnel who were stationed on the tops of nearby buildings.
New Supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ali Khamenei, has largely kept a low profile as Israel and the US continue their bombing campaign in the country. Donald Trump recently said any new leader chosen without his approval "isn't going to last long."

But Iran's remaining leadership have remained defiant, launching attacks against US allies in the Middle East. Hosseinali Eshkevari, a member of the Assembly of Experts, said: "The path of the martyred Imam Khamenei will carry on under the name of Khamenei."
But many Iranians and members of the Iranian diaspora are welcoming the strikes that have seen many members of Iran's leadership annihilated. The leaders have brutally ordered protesters in Iran be killed and have long reigned with an iron fist.
