PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayTwitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has recently launched a new messaging app named 'Bitchat'. This app works even without an internet connection. Which means that now users will be able to send messages to each other without using the internet through this app.
This privacy-focused messaging app is based on peer-to-peer technology and does not require any centralised server or phone network. Currently, this app is available only for iPhone users on the Test Flight platform.
BitChat works over Bluetooth network
BitChat works on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh network. In this, smartphones form small clusters among themselves and send encrypted messages from one device to another.
Since it works through Bluetooth, it does not require Wi-Fi or mobile data. This app is especially useful in places where an internet connection is not available or where the network is down.
Unlike traditional messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram, BitChat is completely decentralised. Users do not need to create an account with an email or phone number.
Messages are stored only on the user's device and are automatically deleted after some time. This ensures user privacy and protection from censorship.
Availability of BitChat
BitChat is currently in the beta testing phase and is available only on Apple's TestFlight platform. It hit the limit of 10,000 testers soon after its launch. Jack Dorsey has shared the app's whitepaper and beta invitation publicly.
In the beta phase, the developers are focusing on battery optimisation and reliability. There is a plan to include Wi-Fi protocol in the final release, so that rich content like pictures and videos can also be shared. There is also a plan to make it available for more platforms in the future.
