The temple of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy at Srisailam held Ugadi Mahotsavams in a grand manner. The festivities were held in the Alankara Mandapam in the presence of District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao, trust board members and others.

Dr. Butta Veerabhadra Daivagya read out the panchangam (almanac) for the year, detailing the challenging situations that the governments are likely to face and the auspicious and inauspicious events that people might encounter. On the occasion, priests were felicitated on behalf of the State government.

In the evening, Radhotsavam was held for the processional idols of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy on the streets of the temple town while Goddess Bhramaramba was adorned as Rama Vani sevita Rajarajeswari Devi and blessed devotees.

In the celebrations held in Kurnool, Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath said the previous year went off well without major disturbances and hoped that the year ahead will also pass smoothly under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said though the ongoing war in West Asia had impacted the country, the Union and State governments are making alternative arrangements to minimise the impact.

Ugadi celebrations were held in Revenue Bhavan in Anantapur, wherein District Collector O. Anand and others participated. In Sri Sathya Sai district, Minister for BC Welfare S. Savitha, District Collector Shyam Prasad, Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar and others participated.
