A leaker going by the name “Leek” posted a new Grand Theft Auto 6 video, reviving concerns about how much of the unreleased game is circulating outside developer Rockstar’s control.

PC Gamer reports that what has drawn attention to the GTA 6 leaks is a portion of the video where Cyberleek fires shots into a wall, spelling out the word “leek,” a deliberate misspelling of “leak.” The leaks are drawing widespread attention because GTA 6 is the most hotly anticipated game in years, withs billions in revenue at stake.

Insider Gaming and commenters on Reddit have pointed to that detail as evidence the leaker currently has, or at some point had, direct access to the game itself, not just secondhand footage of it.

That would mark a change from what had been assumed. Until now, the working theory was that Cyberleek only had internal gameplay videos that originated from Rockstar, not the actual game on a build they control.

There’s another explanation going around: Cyberleek may simply hold a large archive of videos, with the specific clips that surface chosen through public votes on the leaker’s own website, the options themselves cherry-picked from that existing stash. Under that theory, the wall-shooting clip doesn’t prove ongoing access to a live build.

Access questions aside, the rest of the video shows Jason, one of the two playable protagonists in GTA 6, flying a biplane over Vice City in daylight, with panoramic views of Leonida, the name given to the game’s full map. It includes shots from a cinematic camera and runs for roughly two minutes before cutting abruptly to the clip of gunfire spelling “leek” on the wall.

It’s the fifth GTA 6 leak in a single week. Earlier leaks included a screenshot purporting to show the full in-game map, plus three videos: one of Jason playing basketball, one of him driving at night before getting into a fistfight, and one of him tasering civilians.

Text overlaid on Cyberleek’s posts says the leaks will keep coming until Rockstar announces a physical, disc-based version of GTA 6. The decision to make the game digital-only sparked backlash from some players when it was first announced. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed that digital-only plan earlier this month.

Rumors are swirling that the leak occurred from India, where developer Rockstar outsourced certain portions of the game’s development.
