Sources said that the government has formed a panel to address restaurants' concerns. A panel from IOC, HPCL, and BPCL will listen to grievances and reprioritise supply as needed.

This committee will review requests from restaurants, hotels and other industries that require commercial LPG supplies.
Amid fears of a fuel crisis, the government has formed a panel to address restaurants’ commercial supply concerns.
ANI quoted government sources saying that the Oil Marketing companies will talk to the various restaurant associations to understand their problems of LPG supply.
“A committee of three members comprising Executive Directors of IOC, HPCL and BPCL has been formed by the govt to listen to their grievances. Their genuine requirement of commercial LPG will be met. This committee will also reprioritise the supply as per the requirements," they said.

They further said, “We were in crises earlier but today we are not in any crises of petroleum products. We are sourcing 70% of our crude oil supply from sources other than Strait of Hormuz."
With the Strait of Hormuz, through which nearly a fifth of the world’s oil passes, remaining closed to shipments, crude prices have surged and supply chain anxiety has deepened globally.

“Due to reprioritisation, domestic LPG production has increased by 10 percent in last few days. Consignment of LPG and LNG is coming from various sources. Expecting some new consignment LPG/LNG very soon," the sources told ANI.

They emphasised that the Indian refineries are running in full capacity as they were operating before the Iran-Israel conflict. “India to recover better than other countries once crises is over. We have not taken any decision to curb the export of refined oil," they added.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to review LPG supplies and assess potential disruptions arising from the ongoing Iran war. US-Israel-Iran War LIVE
Amid mounting strain on global energy supplies due to the ongoing West Asia conflict, the union government on Tuesday invoked the Essential Commodities Act (EC Act) to protect the domestic fuel market from potential disruptions.
Later, the major state-run oil and gas companies moved to reassure millions of domestic consumers across the country that LPG, CNG, and PNG supplies will remain unaffected.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) issued identical statements on X, saying steps have been taken to boost LPG production and ensure its availability for households first.
