Director of Secondary Health K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu praised the team of doctors at Rajampeta Area Hospital for saving the life of a pregnant woman. Mr. Chakradhar Babu wrote a letter to the doctors and commended their skill, dedication and courage in handling a high-risk pregnancy case.

According to a press release from the Health department, the woman, E. Shankaramma, was initially taken to private hospitals in Tirupati, where the managements refused to treat her due to the high risk involved. She was reportedly told that the fetus in her womb had died and that performing surgery would endanger her life. She was then brought to Rajampet Area Hospital in Annamayya district, where doctors performed the surgery.

Citing this case an example, Mr. Chakradhar Babu said that government hospitals in the State have skilled doctors adept in handling complex cases. He appreciated the efforts of hospital Superintendent P.V.N. Raju, gynecologist C.H. Anil Kumar and other team members.
