Gaja Alternative Asset Management has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to register Gaja Capital India Fund V as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF).
The term of Gaja Capital India Fund V will begin from its initial closing and run for 10 years, with an option to extend the fund by two additional one-year periods.
Gaja Alternative Asset Management will act as the investment manager to the fund, which has been established as part of its plans to grow operations by setting up new funds and pursuing its growth strategies.
The approval comes less than a week after Gaja Alternative Asset Management made its stock market debut last Wednesday.
