In a twist of fate that we might have all seen coming, it seems that maybe – just maybe – the OG cinematic He-Man, Dolph Lundgren, might have secretly filmed a role in the new remake of Masters Of The Universe, which has just wrapped filming in London.

Speaking to Men’s Health recently about his new Vodka range, the Swedish actor known for Universal Soldier and The Expendables, told the mag that he might pop up on “new” Eternia next summer, saying:

It’s a bit of a secret, but I can’t say much… But yeah, maybe I’ll get involved somehow. We’ll see.”

Back in February, Lundgren (via ForEternia.com) had fans salivating when he said he was filming something secret in London that month, which is where the new film spent most of its production shooting. In his chat with Men’s Health, Lundgren reminisced about the original film and that he was excited to see what the 2026 version would look like, saying:

“If you think a new He-Man movie makes you feel old, I feel old! I was in it!… They’ve been trying to remake the picture for at least 15 years, and I’m glad they’re doing it. There’s a great cast, a great crew. It’s a big budget picture with MGM/Amazon. I think they’re doing a great job.”

Released in 1987, Masters of the Universe was a box-office disappointment, grossing around $17million from its $22million budget and helped drive the final nail in the production company Cannon Films. Frank Langella played Skeletor. Since then, however, it’s endured and has millions of fans worldwide.

The new film, directed by Travis Knight, stars Nicholas Galitzine in the title role alongside Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress of Grayskull, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.

Masters Of The Universe hits cinemas on June 5th, 2026.
