A chaotic scene unfolded in a north Los Angeles neighbourhood on Thursday, as exploding fireworks caused several houses to burn, and left a woman critically injured, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. More than 100 firefighters battled the flames, which began around 9 p.m., while fireworks were exploding upon their arrival.
