Emergency services were called to Mitchell Highway in Bakers Bend, 20 kilometres south of Charleville, about 6.30am.
Two chemical trailers had caught fire, according to police.
Police have established an exclusion zone, which includes a large section of the Mitchell Highway near the Angellala Creek bridge.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and residents within the exclusion zone are advised to leave immediately.
