Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayWarner Bros.’ Dune 3 adds Ida Brooke (Silo) and newcomer Nakoa-Wolf Momoa to the cast, Deadline reports.
The actors will play Leto II and Ghanima, the twin children of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya). Momoa will make his debut alongside his father, Jason Momoa, who will play a resurrected ghola of Duncan Idaho. Brooke is similarly new to acting, previously starring in Apple’s Silo and the film The Primrose Railway Children.
Chalamet and Zendaya are also expected to return to the third instalment, although no official announcement has been made. Deadline also reported that Robert Pattinson (Mickey 17, The Batman) entered talks for a villain role.
The film, based on Frank Herbert’s Hugo Award-winning novel series, will follow Dune: Part One (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024). The previous films won eight Academy Awards and earned $1.12 billion worldwide. Both films also received Oscar nominations for Best Picture.
Additionally, Max premiered Dune: Prophecy, a series set 10,000 years before the films, which has been renewed for a second season.
Dune 3 is expected to be the final in director Denis Villeneuve’s series and will likely adapt Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah. The book follows Atreides’ struggles as Emperor Muad’Dib and the consequences of his Fremen-led jihad. The film’s official title and release date are yet to be disclosed.
