Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayAccording to Deadline, it has been confirmed that Cosmo Jarvis, star of FX’s Shōgun and A24’s Warfare, has had to pull out of Christopher Nolan‘s epic The Odyssey due to scheduling conflicts.
Jarvis was set to join the production soon, which already features a stacked cast including the likes of Jon Bernthal, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson. Unfortunately, he has now had to drop out of the movie shortly before he was due to start filming and will now be replaced by Logan Marshall-Green, who is best known for movies such as Prometheus and Upgrade.
The cast also features Mia Goth, Lupita Nyong’o, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, Benny Safdie, Samantha Morton, Bill Irwin, and Charlize Theron.
No details, at this time, have been revealed about the character that Marshall-Green will be stepping into. Information on what project Jarvis has left The Odyssey for also remains unknown, but he is currently gearing up to star in the biopic Young Stalin about the infamous Russian dictator.
The Odyssey is filming at locations in Italy, Morocco, Ireland and Scotland. The movie is based on the epic poem that tells the story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, as he takes on a dangerous journey home after the Trojan War. During this voyage, he encounters the likes of Sirens, Cyclops and witches that stop him from reaching home to be with his wife Penelope.
A teaser trailer for the movie, which has leaked online, is currently playing exclusively in cinemas in front of showings for Jurassic World Rebirth.
The Odyssey is set for release on July 17th, 2026.
