The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights resolved as many as 46 complaints during its sitting held in Ernakulam. A total of 54 complaints were considered, while eight others were set aside to be taken up later.

Commission members K.K. Shaju and T.C. Jalaja Mol led the proceedings. The panel expressed concern over the rising incidence of child rights violations among school students. The Commission members noted that there was a need to provide training to teachers and parents regarding child rights laws.

The Commission considered a request submitted by a school leader to ensure the safety of children who required special attention and protection at an upper primary school in the district. The Commission members said the complaint was resolved with the cooperation of the District Child Protection Officer and the Department of Women and Child Development.
