Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty on Wednesday to murder in the brutal stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students. Kohberger, a graduate student at the nearby Washington State University, pleaded guilty in a bid to avoid the death penalty. His case had been set to go to trial in August. Kohberger, 30, is charged with the killings of Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle and Madison Mogen at a rental home near the university campus in Moscow, Idaho, on Nov. 13, 2022. The killings terrified the campus and set off a nationwide search in 2022.
