Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy (52), former MLA from Narsampet in Warangal district and a close associate of the party founder-president K. Chandrashekhar Rao from 2001, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad early on Friday (July 31, 2026). He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
He suffered pulmonary embolism, a sudden blockage in an artery in the lungs, at his residence in Hanumakonda on July 26 and collapsed. He was rushed to a private hospital there and was revived after a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) was performed by the doctors and was shifted to a corporate hospital here for better treatment.
He was declared dead at 12.51 am on Friday by the team of doctors attending to him. He would be cremated at his native place in the evening.
Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s association with KCR began in 2001
Sudarshan Reddy’s association with KCR and BRS/Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) began in 2001 when the party was formed and was elected as a ZPTC member from Nallabelly the same year. After the formation of Telangana, he was made Chairman of the State Civil Supplies Corporation in 2016 and was in that post till 2018. He was elected as MLA from Narsampet in 2018.
Active in Telangana Statehood movement
Born on August 6, 1974 at Nallabelly, he was active in the movement for Statehood to Telangana since 2001. He worked as the district president of the party for eight years and State general secretary later.

Expressing shock at the death of Sudarshan Reddy, KCR said he had lost a close associate and extended his sympathies with the bereaved family, assuring them of all support from the party. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, BRS leaders from across the State condoled the sudden death of Sudarshan Reddy.
