Bridget Fonda is prompting fresh memories of her Hollywood heyday after being seen showing off her notably slimmer physique following a reported weight loss of more than 100 pounds.
The 62-year-old former screen star, who has not appeared in a film for almost 25 years, was spotted in Los Angeles on Monday wearing a silver-streaked updo, relaxed black palazzo trousers and a cream scoop-neck T-shirt beneath a bright yellow blouse.
She completed the understated outfit with a classic Givenchy Pandora crossbody bag and simple white trainers.
The former leading lady was enjoying a casual outing with a friend, marking the latest in a series of striking appearances for the retired actress. Fonda famously wore a tiny bikini top opposite Pam Grier and Robert De Niro in Quentin Tarantino’s acclaimed 1997 crime film Jackie Brown.
Fonda married Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman, 73, in November 2003. She withdrew from public life in the early 2000s after suffering serious injuries in a rollover crash during torrential rain on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway.
The devastating accident left her with two fractured vertebrae and destroyed her Jaguar.
After the couple welcomed their son in 2005, Fonda stepped away from show business to concentrate on her recovery and raising Oliver Elfman, who turned 21 in January.

Fonda last appeared on screen in the 2002 Hallmark television movie Snow Queen, but her reported weight loss of more than 100 pounds has fueled speculation about a possible comeback
Fonda was first photographed looking dramatically different in 2022, nearly two decades after disappearing from public view.
Since losing weight, the once-private member of Hollywood royalty—daughter of the late Easy Rider star Peter Fonda and niece of actress and fitness icon Jane Fonda—has reportedly regained her confidence.
In 2023, Fonda told paparazzi that she had no plans to return to acting, saying that she enjoyed being “a civilian.”
However, her reported transformation and renewed confidence have since sparked speculation that she may be considering a return to Hollywood.
“She has incredible talent, so it’s not going to be hard for her to get cast,” an industry source told Star magazine in March.
Our News Outlet has contacted Fonda’s representatives for comment on her reported fitness journey and the possibility of an acting comeback.
Fonda was among the most sought-after actresses of the late 1980s and maintained her momentum throughout the following decade.
After earning attention in the cult independent films Shag (1988) and Scandal (1989), the rising star landed her first major showcase in Francis Ford Coppola’s 1990 sequel The Godfather Part III, appearing alongside Al Pacino, Diane Keaton and Andy Garcia.
She built on that breakthrough with two high-profile roles in 1992: the suspense thriller Single White Female, in which she appeared nude opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Cameron Crowe’s Singles, co-starring Matt Dillon.

The actress then displayed her versatility in a wide range of leading roles alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Her filmography includes Doc Hollywood (1991) with Michael J. Fox, Point of No Return (1993) with Dermot Mulroney, It Could Happen To You (1994) with Nicolas Cage, The Road to Wellville (1994) with Anthony Hopkins, City Hall (1996) with Al Pacino and John Cusack, Sam Raimi’s A Simple Plan (1998) with Billy Bob Thornton, Break Up (1998) with Kiefer Sutherland and the action film Kiss of the Dragon (2001), co-starring martial arts icon Jet Li.
Fonda actually made her screen debut at just four years old, appearing as the “child in commune” alongside her father, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson in the 1970 road movie classic Easy Rider.
Even during the height of her fame, however, Fonda spoke candidly about her struggles with body image.
“What is it with my low self-esteem?” she asked the Los Angeles Times in 1993. “Sometimes I feel like I can make myself look the way that I’m happy with, but I get really depressed if I think of the big picture or compare myself to movie stars who are supposed to look like Veronica Lake or Lauren Bacall. Like you’ve got to be a model. It’s a weird pressure.”
She added: “I have this fear that I’m going to be lax in my struggle to better myself. I got that from Mom. She always said, ‘You’re not doing enough, you’re not working hard enough.’”
Fonda’s final screen appearance came in the 2002 Hallmark television movie Snow Queen.

Meanwhile, Our News Outlet spoke with a nutritionist in February about how the former A-lister might have lost such a significant amount of weight.
Dr. Wilks, a Southern California weight specialist, said: “It looks like she has definitely lost more weight in the last two months, and possibly has dropped as much as 100lbs in the past year.”
“First of all, it is likely she used medication,” he continued.
“She could have taken a diabetes drug like GLP-1, which can be found in Zepbound and Ozempic. That would explain the rapid and consistent weight loss.”
“But if she dropped the pounds naturally, there really is only one way she could have done it: by dramatically decreasing sugar, carbs and dairy.”
Whatever the reason, Fonda’s reported transformation could make this an ideal moment to revisit the career that once made her a household name—a possibility her family is said to support.
“She’s lost a lot of weight and really turned her health around, her son is an adult, and she has time to devote to her own interests,” the source told Star earlier this year. “Danny is all for it. He always says how great she is. He’s her biggest cheerleader, even after all these years together.”
