Bengaluru woman committed suicide after a heated argument with her husband over serving stale sambar repeatedly.

In a shocking incident, a woman ended her life over domestic dispute with her husband. As per the reports, she had an argument with her husband over serving sambhar that she had prepared three days earlier. Irked by the repeated dish in lunch and dinner, the husband objected that resulted in a heated argument between the couple.

As per a report by NDTV, the woman was distraught over the confrontation and decided to end her life. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Kavya, was married to Rangaswami and the couple has a 4-year-old son. As per the reports, during the argument, Rangaswami allegedly hurled abuses at Kavya and also tried to hit her.

Depressed over the same, Kavya consumed pesticide. When the family members saw her puking, she was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.

The body was sent for postmortem and further investigation is underway.

Last year, in June, a woman also killed herself after consuming the same sambhar she had cooked in the morning. As per the reports, 38-year-old was consumed by guilt over eating stale sambhar.

The deceased, Nagaratna of Savakanahalli in Devanahalli taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru, had a history of mental health issues. According to the police, she was short-tempered and used to get upset over petty things.

The victim, a tailor, was survived by her husband, who works as an real estate broker, and two children. On Thursday, she had prepared sambar in the morning before leaving for work. When she returned home later that evening, she was upset that she had to eat the same food.

Her husband tried to console her and even offered other food items. Around 8.30 pm, she went to the bathroom and did not come out for a long time. When she did not respond, her husband broke open the door and found her hanging by her dupatta.
