You think you know the story? Think Again! Paramount Pictures have unleashed the beast in the shape of a 2nd Trailer for Ti West‘s Ebenezer…Ba Humbug!

We could easily say remakes, remakes and remakes, but it’s the current trend from Hollywood. If you go by the description of this version of the Charles Dickens classic, we can expect something more darker and gothic. Ti West knows his horror genre, his go all the way back 20 plus years to The Roost in 2005. His roots are the indie side of the genre but Hollywood could see his talents getting him onboard for X Trilogy.

Alistair Sim, Bill Murray and Michael Caine have the grumpy one, now it’s Johnny Depp. The role looks made for him, embracing an iconic character in a classic Christmas tale. Told like never before, will it be is the question? This new trailer looks a lot better than the teaser, which gives us a glimpse of the 3 ghosts. Ebenezer Scrooge as an horror? We hope West can deliver, for now it’s hard to say it will.

The cast is already showing signs of strength, the three ghosts taken on by Andrea Riseborough, Ghost of Christmas Past, Tramell Tillman, Ghost of Christmas Present and Daisy Ridley as Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Also involved is Ian McKellan as Jacob Marley, Harry Potter star Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, Sam Claflin as Fred, Charlie Murphy and Ellie Bamber as the Fezziwigs, Nicholas Day as a Minister, and Arthur Conti as a young Ebenezer.
