Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said he would invoke the Insurrection Act "if there's an insurrection," adding "we'll see" how events unfold. Trump also said more U.S. cities should expect widespread ICE raids similar to the ones which took place in the past week in Los Angeles, California - kicking off days of protests in the city. Tensions over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown escalated this weekend after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of National Guard troops to the Los Angeles area to quell protests that at times turned violent.
