Telangana Housing Board has generated income of ₹65.02 crore through the auction of its plots and flats in Gachibowli, Chintal of Quthbullapur and Nizampet on Monday, June 23. The auctioned properties include 3271 square yards in Gachibowli, 799.88 square yards in Chintal and 1653 square feet flats - each measuring 413 feet - in Nizampet.
A total of 55 people participated in the auction which was held at a Community Hall in Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB), said vice chairman and commissioner of the Housing Board, V.P. Gautham.
In Gachibowli, the commercial land measuring 1487 square yards was auctioned for ₹2.22 square yard earning around ₹33 crore. And, a 1200 square yard plot attracted ₹1.2 lakh earning ₹13.4 crore to the Housing Board. Two MIG plots, auctioned at ₹ 1.86 lakh and ₹1.32 lakh per square yard, earned the Housing Board ₹4.50 crore. The income only from the properties in Gachibowli was ₹55,56,84,000 (Rs 55.56 crore) .The Board on June 11 auctioned a plot in Kukatpally for ₹2.98 lakh per square yard.
