A total of 163 students received postgraduate and super-speciality degrees at the PG Graduation Ceremony 2026 of St. John’s Medical College held on Wednesday.

As many as 24 graduates secured State and National University ranks this year. Among speciality postgraduate students, the overall pass percentage was 94%, with 11 students securing ranks among the top 10 in the university and winning three gold medals.

Among super-specialty and DNB super-specialty students, the pass percentage was 100%, with 13 students securing university and national ranks along with five gold medals.

While Udata Pranavi (Family Medicine), Honey Mol (Pathology) and Aneeta Shaji (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) secured the first rank and gold medals at the State university level, Ruby Aleyamma Roy (Family Medicine) and Swathi N. (Transfusion Medicine) secured the second rank. Pragnya Sood (Community Medicine) secured the fifth rank.

In the DM and MCh courses, Sanjan Rai K. (Endocrinology), Hrudya (Gastroenterology), Chinthana L. (Neonatology) and Swetha C. Nair (Pulmonary Medicine) secured first rank and gold medals. Chaitanya H. Balakrishna (Haematology) won the DNB National Gold Medal.

Uday George Zachariah, Associate Director of Christian Medical College and an alumnus of the 1990 batch of St. John’s Medical College, who addressed the graduates, urged young doctors to serve society with compassion and commitment. Rev. Fr. Jesudoss Rajamanickam, Director of St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, and other dignitaries were present.
